Swimming Level Descriptions:
Parent and Child: This class will not teach toddlers to swim but is designed to help them to be more comfortable in the water. Toddlers will have the opportunity to be around children their own age in a strange new environment, while parents will learn important introductory skills that they can use outside of class with their toddlers. This class is all about having fun in the water. It is also designed to help the older toddlers prepare for the Level 1 class. **A Parent/Guardian will be required to participate in the water due to typical separation anxiety at these ages. (Recommended ages 16 months-36 months)
Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills Focus on front and back buoyancy, bubble blowing, face in water, mechanics of kicking, intro to basic strokes, safety/survival skills and self empowerment. No goggles/masks allowed. (Recommended ages 3-6)
Level 2: Fundamental Water Skills Focus on eyes open/retrieval of submerged objects, unassisted front and back floating, refine kicking, and intro to the front crawl (Freestyle) and competition backstroke. Develop breathing and safety skills. No goggles/masks allowed. (Recommended ages 5-8)
Level 3: Stroke Development Focus on treading water, the front crawl (freestyle) and the backstroke, intro to breaststroke and butterfly stroke, and feet-first/head-first entry into water. Increased swimming yardage. Goggles may be used at this level. (Recommended ages 6-9)
We keep a 1:6 ratio per class. Parent/Child classes may have higher ratios.
Read level descriptions and determine your child’s level.
Select 1st and 2nd choices to assure a spot as registration is on a first come, first served basis.
Complete the registration form and submit it with payment in full to the Ticket Office. We cannot accept mailed, emailed, or faxed registration forms. Student must be paid in full to be placed on the class roster.
One week prior to the beginning of the session, you will receive an email confirming the dates and times that your child is registered. Please make sure to include an accurate email address on your registration form!
We have a no-refund policy. However, we will work with families to provide other lesson options that may be more accommodating.
